General Information
- The Canadian Hunt Ranch sits on about 180 acres and is located in Sainte-Henedine, Quebec Canada. The ranch is 35 minutes South of Quebec City.
- Your contact for the ranch is Mike Courneya: Cell Phone: +1.613.324.7999 or Toll Free: +1.866.469.8886
- There are several hotels in close proximity to the Hunt Ranch. Our lead guide Mike will discuss what type of accommodations you require and give you telephone numbers for places that best suit your needs.
- Bow hunting and rifle hunting are permitted all year long.
- There is a butcher in close proximity to the Canadian Hunt Ranch. You can usually get your animal cut, vacuum packed and flash frozen for approximately $250 CAN, depending on the size of your animal and the manner in which you would like the meat packaged. The local butcher is also familiar with preparing meat in order to pass border inspection. It is also a good idea to bring 1 (one) cooler per animal so you can store the meat while you're travelling home. Fore more information on crossing the border with packaged meat, please check with the appropriate customs. In the event that you can not take the meat across the border, we will ensure that it does not go to waste, the meat will be donated to the local food bank.
PAPER WORK
Please ensure that you have all the necessary paper work before departing for the Hunt Ranch.
- We will give each hunter an official receipt showing that your trophy whitetail deer was harvested at our ranch, this receipt is required at customs.
- Each hunter is responsible for obtaining a firearm registry at the border. The form is called a Non-Resident Firearm Declaration and it will cost $35 CAN for a three month permit. When you arrive at the border you simply let them know you will be hunting in Quebec, you register your firearm and pay for your permit (if you do not already have one).
- Make sure you bring your proper identification, ie. birth certificates and a photo ID.
- In 2008 everyone will be required to have a passport to travel between Canada and the United States.
